One of my wish for CSPro, if become open source without any US government funding, is to change the name: Make the distinction between the language and the Designer... CS mean Census and Survey. However, CSPro (with the 8.1 bidirectional API and eventual release of ESM of the engine in the future) is more powerful than any software/framework used for example, for clinical research, among others, even in developed countries. In the US for example, REDCAP (Who is based on MS Excel for form programming...so, far less powerful than CSPro...) is among the leaders and there is a lot job requiring it (against 0 for CSPro...). It's the same for the Census/Survey Programming market dominated by far less powerful than CSPro Qualtrics/Voxco/Confirmit and other Limesurvey, Cognos, Survey Monkey and CASES...against 0 for CSPro...
I think, it's because:
- a) CSPro is tied to Census and Survey... for developing countries...
- b) CSPro lack of CAWI...
- c) CSPro was not open source and opened to widely used programming language.
- d) CSWeb don't have any embedded data dashboard...or field check table feature...
- e) Not supported and (widely) used by universities...
As I mentioned in the latest years, we already have this for more complicated and powerful language such as PHP, Python, R etc. So, this is not a dream... I see you already have a WASM Framework: https://github.com/CSProDevelopment/csp ... 59a3595cc7, so, providing a standalone JS Compatible CSPro logic language may not so complicated for you. At the latest news, QuickJS is supporting JSON modules import: https://github.com/bellard/quickjs/comm ... 8f74ec197c so, we will be able to import dictionary json file and CSPro logic in any JS framework and output powerful CSPro powered applications.
