Hi,

I was developing a bulk data entry questionnaire . My client requested to add more languages. I used 'initialized question text' and made many reformation on the question text, now how can i add the additional languages without affecting the formatting of the original languages apart from copy and past, which is tidioes. I already used the dictionary macros to add the additional languages, my problem is how to pull that new text to the CAPI question without affecting the original reformatting.

Thank you sir,

I watched the video link and found it helpful, but I’m facing a different issue. I have already finalized all of my question text in English, including formatting and several edits. Now I want to add additional languages without affecting that formatting. I can’t use “Initialize as dictionary label” anymore since the survey has already been generated and modified. Item labels appears automatically in different languages, but the question text does not. Copying and pasting each translation works, but it’s very time-consuming.

Copy the dictionary name form dictionary macro and paste into excel ie col A. In col B, define the language name which is defined on CAPI language section. And col C, write the CAPI text which you want. Copy the whole text form the 3 cols and paste using Question text macro as highlighted in the image. This process does not effect the other langugae which you already did.
