Modify item name in the dictionary after entry complete?

Having trouble exporting to STATA because some variable names too long.
Is there a way to shorten these after data entry?

I would suggest that you create a copy of your dictionary and shorten the labels in that dictionary. Then you can use that second dictionary for your exports.
