Hi CSProers,
Anyone who has ever experienced duplicated data when you sync to csweb.?
At the same time is possible for the sync operation to only syncs a subset of the data? My client claims they synced 188 records but only 108 were submitted

Josh any ideas?

It is certainly possible to have duplicate cases in CSWeb. CSWeb does nothing to prevent duplicates if two different tablets are used to enter the same case. It is up to your applications to manage assignments of cases to prevent generating duplicate cases. Once you have downloaded the data you can view the duplicate cases in DataViewer by choosing to view duplicates from the view menu.

Sync should sync all the data from the tablet. It does not resync data that it has previously synced but after a successful sync, all the cases from the tablet should be found on the server either through the last sync or a previous one. The only time when this will not happen is if you use a universe in your call to syncdata. You can look in the sync.log file in the csentry directory on the tablet to see how many cases were sent to the server to verify what your client is telling you.
