Dear All
I have a cspro query. We are doing a Household and Individual Survey.
At the first survey time(Baseline) , We have Household Form. has to be filled. In Household Form, there is family roster where all family members information are being collected. Based on family roster, we are to interview some different individuals those have different questionnaires.
at the first time of survey (baseline), there is no question i have.
Now as per the study, After three month, Same Households are to be visited.
So Possibilities are
In the same Household lets say Household No. 01005.
New Members can be added. We have to add
Members can go out.. We have to delete/Block.
Members Status can be changed. This is very important, based on the status, our individual questionnaire are to be entered.
Lets say, at the time of Baseline survey, my data file name is HH_Baseline.dat
Then after 3 month, So I am thinking to open same data file say HH_Baseline.dat (At baseline time ) at the time of entering. And Edit accordingly. Is this right way or some more effective way of doing it.
Or i open the same data file but once i update the household, Can we save with different data file name. like. HH_After baseline.dat
Thanking you in advance.
With Best Regards--
Manoj

Re: Updatation in Family Roster
Dear manojsoni;
There is no need to remove data from your baseline data. Just add few new variables. Like:
• Is [Name] still part of the family? [Yes, No, New Member]
• Why [Name] is not part of the family? [Died, Move]
Now use reformat data option. You can not use the same file if you are adding new variables.
