Dropbox .pnc not working
Re: Dropbox .pnc not working
Does the directory Mobile JW exist in your Dropbox?
I did a quick test of your .pnc and once I created that directory in my Dropbox it worked for me. See the attached picture for how my Dropbox is setup.

Re: Dropbox .pnc not working
Could it be that the reason I'm getting this error
"could not change to remote dir /Mobile+JW/mytry.PNC : An error occured while changing to path: / Mobile+JW/mytry.PNC"
is because my C drive is set on readonly? and of course I have absolutely no idea how to get rid of it. I've tried continuously but its not working for some reason.

Re: Dropbox .pnc not working
If you are using the beta version then you can put the .pnc file on your phone or in your Dropbox. If you are using the version from Google Play you have to put it in the Dropbox and download it. In either case you only need the .pnc to add your synchronization to the list. On the Google Play version you do this by doing going to "Sync Setup" on the menu. On the beta you go to "Synchronize" on the menu and then choose "Add new". Once you have done this, the contents of the .pnc file is saved and the original file .pnc is no longer used. This means that if you have modified the .pnc file after adding it to the menu, none of those modifications are detected. If you wish to make modifications you need to sync setup/add new again with the same file.
On Windows if your entire C drive is read-only I highly doubt the machine would function as that is where Windows writes temporary files. If your Dropbox folder is set to read-only that will certainly cause errors when you try to upload files to it but it shouldn't cause the error message you are getting.
My guess is that CSEntry is still using an old version of your .pnc file and that if you go through sync setup/add new again with the version of the file that you posted above that it will work.

Re: Dropbox .pnc not working
Josh I've tried everything possible bro and I can't get it to work arghhhhhhh. Could it be because I'm using the free account? I'm not on the paid version for Dropbox? please let me know ASAP so Ic an try and get a paid account. I can have one of my cousins in the US activate it for me. I even deleted the CSPro and reinstalled and tried to run it again. I've tried using other phones and I get the same error for all. my onc file says pnc its not a text file could it be that?
Re: Dropbox .pnc not working
I mean I've literally tried eveyrthing I don't understand and we are forced to use dropbox. i tried using my BOX account to ftp but that doesnt work. I'm at a loss. I really don't know why it isnt working for me. Ic ant understand. I know I'm complaining like a baby but its freaking frustrating.
Re: Dropbox .pnc not working
alright if you could please walk me through the steps with dropbox.
1) did you create a separate folder to keep the .pnc file inbesides the one the .pen and .pff are located in?
2) does you .pnc file say PNC on the type section in your dropbox folder or does it say text?
3) is your csentry folder on the phone itself, or an sdcard in the phone?
I mean these are the things are can think off.
My csentry folder always installs on the phone, even if I move it to the sd card csentry just creates another folder.
I've deleted and reinstalled cspro and it always saves to the phone instead of the sd card.
Where can I get the Beta version from because the one I'm using is from the play store. Thanks in advance for all your help and support.

Re: Dropbox .pnc not working
1) Doesn't matter where you put the .pnc file. Can be in any folder.
2) In Dropbox mine says that it is a PNC file. That is normal. It is really text but Windows just looks at the file extension.
3) CSentry folder is on the phone itself. CSEntry always puts it on the phone.
Try using a folder in Dropbox that doesn't have any spaces in the name i.e. /MobileJW instead of /Mobile JW. It looks like there may be a bug with spaces in the folder name. You will need to change your .pnc file as well once you change the folder name - specifically the ServerPath/ClientPath lines will also need the folder name without a space.
Sorry about that. The version of sync in the Google Play version is fairly buggy. It is much improved in the beta version which you can download from csprousers.org/beta.

When I get my here let me know so you can get a p.o. box so I can have my wife send you something in the states. seriously omg i'm so excited.I owe you big time. i just have to try the naming scheme wit the username you suggested. Wait I've been under the assumption that you were from the states the whole time so correct me if I'm wrong.
