problem of exporting data to SPSS

Post by mgtoukam »

Hi All,

I have a problem with exporting data from Cspro 7.2 to SPSS.

the exported data are offset and do not allow for analysis.

What should we do?

We are aware of an export issue in CSPro 7.2. If you have a data file that exhibits the issue and can send it to cspro@lists.census.gov that would be helpful.

@mgtoukam, if you can even just send the dictionary (no data) to cspro@lists.census.gov, that would help us figure out what the problem is.

Several people have reported a problem with exporting data to SPSS with 7.2. We have tried several times to reproduce the problem but have not had success doing this so it might be something specific to how your dictionary is setup.

For those who are having this problem, it is fixed in CSPro 7.2.1, which we will release next week. In the meantime, you can use the "Unicode output" option to get the correct results. This requires a version of SPSS from the last few years.
