Encription in the synchronization

Post by AriSilva »

Hi CSPro team,
Is it possible to encript the data when transferring info to the server, using either Dropbox or CSWeb?

For Dropbox the data are encrypted during the transfer using standard transport layer security (SSL/TLS) also known as https. For CSWeb it is also possible to use TLS however it requires that you acquire and install an SSL certificate and configure your webserver to use it (http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2008 ... pache.html). For FTP is also possible to use encrypted transfer by installing an SSL certificate and using FTPS or FTPES (SFTP is not supported). Not that all of these encrypt the data during transfer between tablet and server. Once the data is on the server is not encrypted.

Next time please start a new topic instead of posting to an unrelated one.

That error means there was an error with the FTP server. I doubt that the data was transferred.
