Date for ending FTP sync with .PNC?

Post by asheffel »

Hi!

I was just wondering if there is a date by which the .PNC sync through FTP functionality will end. We have a survey that is set up this way, but data collection is not scheduled to begin until February so I am wondering if we can leave the sync as is or if we need to change to the new CSPro 7.0 version of syncing. I just want to make sure we don't have problems mid-survey.

Many thanks!

We will probably remove it in CSPro 7.2, which will come out sometime next year. I suggest that you turn off automatic updates (in Google Play), so then you can keep the version of CSEntry (6.3 or 7.0) that still has the FTP functionality. The Dropbox .pnc functionality stopped working because of things that Dropbox changed with their service, but the FTP code will continue to work as long as you have an older version of CSEntry.
