Dropbox data security

Post by Mariovaisman »

Hi again,
My question is about security when we are using dropbox as a server.
When the application send data to dropbox cloud, it is using the dropbox account to send/receive data. After that, if I am out of the application and I tap over the dropbox icon, I can see all datafiles that I sent to dropbox, also can be selected and deleted. I am thinking that if an enumerator wants to play with the icons and go into dropbox, it is possible to access the data, to view, delete, rename etc.

Is it possible to activate the dropbox account when the cspro application transmit, and then, when it finish, to deactive the dropbox account, like to forget the user used for the transmission process.

Thanks

Mario

When you say "tap over the dropbox icon" does that mean you have the Dropbox app installed on your device? You don't need that application to use Dropbox sync. You could delete it. I think an interviewer might still be able to go to www.dropbox.com in a browser to get it in but it is not as easy.

Thanks, I see it now. Will proceed to uninstall the app from the device.
