Re: Application crash

It's hard to know what the problem is without seeing the application. If you want support, email the application to cspro@lists.census.gov.

Re: Dropbox sync on Desktop

Have you tried going to dropbox.com on the machine where this fails? A lot of networks block access to that site so the first thing to do is to check that you can access it on that device.

Re: Change field name without losing information

The question text should automatically update as long as you rename the dictionary item while your data entry application is open at the same time. However, you will have to manually rename any logic that refers to the variable name. Depending on your needs, if you want to use the old variable names...

Re: CSPro Web Server on IIS

You can get the CSWeb code here: https://www.census.gov/population/inter ... nload.html

Next time you post, consider creating a new topic instead of adding a reply on an old topic.

Re: Multimedia variables

Right now there is no way to do this using built-in variables. We may support something like that in the future. However, you can do some of this using functions. Use the gps function to collect GPS coordinates. Use the execsystem function to take photos. Right now video and audio recording aren't s...

Re: Delete several cases at a time in data entry

There is no way to delete more than one case at a time from the input dictionary in CSEntry. If this is a process that you need to support, than you would need to write another CSPro application that, in logic, could delete cases using the delcase function.

Re: SQlite

What exactly are you asking? If you are talking about the CSPro DB file, which is a SQLite file, then it shouldn't be locked in CSEntry unless you are writing a case.

Re: Concat Function

If LIST_OF_SERVICES is a dictionary item, then you need to strip it when creating your string, as it will always be padded with spaces to match the length in the dictionary.

LIST_OF_SERVICES = Concat(strip(LIST_OF_SERVICES)," ",getlabel($,choices[i:1]));

Re: Problem with multiple languages

Depending on how you have set up your application, you may need to add an OnChangeLanguage function to your application to setup the languages correctly. However, the way of naming value sets with _ENG or _FRA is the old way of doing things, before CSPro supported multiple language dictionaries. Now...

Re: Exporting notes from .csdb file to Stata/SPSS

What you will have to do is: 1) Convert the CSPro DB file to a text file. See more here: http://www.csprousers.org/help/DataViewer/converting_data_files_to_other_formats.html After doing this, you'll have a .csnot file. 2) Create a dictionary to describe that notes file. You can do it simply using t...
